St. Jude Memphis Family Race and Kids Marathon: It's the marathon that lets kids help kids.
The St. Jude Memphis Family Race and Kids Marathon on December 4, 2010, is a great opportunity for kids and families to complete a marathon or half marathon and show their support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

Go the extra mile together—for the families of St. Jude.
Walk or run together as a family, or encourage your kids to complete their very first marathon (with your help along the way). The St. Jude Memphis Family Race and Kids Marathon offers a great opportunity to set and reach family fitness goals together while teaching your kids an invaluable lesson in giving and helping others.

Reach the finish line as a family and a St. Jude Hero team.
Participating families can include even their littlest ones aged 11 and younger (strollers welcome—pushed by a participating parent, of course). And every family who signs up for the Family Race will participate as a St. Jude Heroes team. Fundraising is optional, but we are encouraging each family Heroes team to raise at least $250 for the kids of St. Jude. Set your own goal. The family that has fun together can raise funds together!

Turn “I think I can” into “I know I can!” (How? One mile at a time.)
In the weeks leading up to race day, your child can complete most of the marathon by walking or running, one mile at a time, before the race. Then on the big race day, they will finish the Family Race and Kids Marathon final mile, crossing the finish line together with you or a specified guardian of legal age in AutoZone Park on Saturday, December 4, 2010. To get started and keep your kids on track, visit www.stjudemarathon.org/family and downlad the special log sheet. For the Kids Marathon option, children can set their goal to walk/run 25.2 miles for the full marathon or 12.1 miles for the half marathon.
